Client Details

A leading global bank is seeking a progressive minded individual who is driven and forward-thinking Strategic Sourcing Manager to join their Procurement Team. As the Strategic Sourcing Manager you will have proven track record as a procurement generalist whilst demonstrating comfort procuring technology solutions. As the  procurement professional to truly partner with the business.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide best in class commercial advice in relation to vendor engagements and related strategy decisions, with a critical focus on analysing risk elements
  • Work with the Global Commodity Manager and local business partners to find the balance between global, regional and local priorities, developing and driving long term strategies
  • Lead commercial negotiations to ensure the best outcome for the business whilst maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards
  • Lead RFx processes
  • Provide contractual advice to the business in supporting the resolution of disputes or contract non-conformance
  • Proactively direct all aspects of the supplier lifecycle
  • Ensure the best interests of the business are served in managing 3rd parties
  • Understand the current global economic climate and apply a commercial lens to ensure relevant factors are considered in decision making and influencing
  • Support initiatives related to procurement process and system improvement
 

Requirements:

  • Well-versed in Strategic Sourcing methodologies, Category Planning, strategic Supplier Relationship Management
  • Relevant working experience in strategic procurement, contract management and third party supplier management
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated with a commercial mindset and strong business acumen
  • Excellent presentation and influencing skills
  • Pragmatic approach with multitasking capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong project implementation, coordination and financial analysis skills preferred
  • Previous experience of successfully operating in a matrix management structure within a global or large corporate environment is desirable
  • Experience in the Financial Sector would be viewed favourably but is not essential.
