Client Details

The client is a market leading food manufacturing business, a loved Aussie brand. The business have gone from strength to strength recently and as such are expanding there technical team on site in South West Sydney.

Description

Reporting to the Technical Director the Senior Food Technologist will hold end to end responsibility for the snacking category from concept to commercialisation and full scale production. Specifically you will:

• Conduct new product research and develop new product concepts for the snacking category
• Conduct R&D trials, both internally and with customers, collate and analyse data from the results.
• Maintain technical expertise in sourcing, purchasing and understanding ingredients.
• Keep abreast of food market trends, new packaging formats and technologies, as well as equipment to ensure a competitive advantage.
• Work with the Process Engineers to ensure the feasibility of product launches and ensure benefit to the business.
• Prepare customer presentations, sample preparation and new product testing.
• Manage batch trials and then transfer into full scale production

 
Profile


You are a Food Technologist with at least 5 years + experience within food production. Your experience is from concept to commercialisation and your technical skills are backed up by a Degree in a Food Science or other related subject.
