Starting out as a family business over 70 years ago, my client is an inventive and collaborative firm known as a leader in their industry. With instantly recognisable brands and products, their revenue has doubled over the past 3 years to over 350mil. Furthermore, significant growth over the past 12 months has led to them expanding their accounting and finance team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Lead the annual budgeting process across the business through liaising with financial and non-financial stakeholders
• Collate and analyse monthly P&Ls with commentaries and quarterly reporting packs
• Prepare & process month end and other journals including credit card expenses, shared costs, prepayments, accrual, and any intercompany transactions
• Prepare banks and general ledger accounts reconciliations
• Manage & maintain fixed assets registers including depreciations and reconciliations
• Assist with year-end processes and internal & external audit
• Prepare and process BAS, payroll tax and FBT
• Support team members to resolve business and finance related enquiries
• Improve processes to drive efficiency across the teams

 About you:
 
You will be a passionate and ambitious accountant with 3-5 years of experience.

Additionally, you will be:

• CA/CPA qualified
• Skilled in Excel
• Proficient in at least one accounting system (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Xero)
• Able to problem solve
• Possess a can-do attitude
• Be customer centric and achievement orientated in your approach
