Are you a corporate lawyer fed up with the demands and long hours of BigLaw but still want to work on intellectually stimulating corporate & commercial work in the Media, Music & Entertainment industry?

Our client seeks a focused senior corporate commercial lawyer with a passion for the entertainment industry. Lawyers with the requisite experience seeking a complete industry change into something a bit more fun, are welcome to apply (one of their SA’s came from corporate energy & mining sector for example)

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in:

• structuring and establishing media & entertainment businesses;
• private M&A within this sector;
• transactional, licencing and publishing advice involving IP rights;
• advising shareholders and directors on strategic and legal matters;
• copyright infringement matters; and
• contractual and other disputes.

If you lack the IP experience, that can be learned, the key thing is a strong understanding of corporate law, as you will be involved in things like the buying and selling of $100m music catalogues
