Job description

  • Report to the CEO, with the purpose to accelerate Australia’s transition to sustainable products through their wholesale, distribution model
  • This key position on the SLT requires an experienced B2B sales leader with a passion for growth
  • Responsible for the National Sales teams, driving multi-channel sales effectiveness
  • Champion continuous improvement through effective change management
  • Ensure customer acquisition & satisfaction, with the achievable objective to double revenue in the next three years

For more than two decades, our client, an Australian company with a turnover of $60m, has been a pioneer in offering innovative disposable packaging solutions. Their relentless commitment to quality products and top-tier customer service has propelled them to expand their team to over 50 employees, both nationally and internationally.

Tasked with spearheading customer engagement initiatives and directing the sales function to bolster revenue growth and meet sales targets. Responsible for crafting sales strategies, executing sales and marketing plans, nurturing crucial customer relationships, and enhancing sales team engagement and efficacy to surpass performance metrics. Plays a pivotal role in fostering and reinforcing the organisational culture.
Primary responsibilities are as follows

  • Formulate and execute strategic sales plans in alignment with business objectives
  • Lead and manage the Sales team, providing development, tools, coaching, and fostering a culture of high performance, customer focus, and above-market engagement and retention
  • Forge and sustain strong ties with key customers and partners, devising growth plans founded on trust
  • Responsible for attaining sales targets (revenue and profit) and meeting customer KPIs
  • Proactively implementing strategies to acquire and engage potential new customers
  • Forecast sales revenue and monitor the sales pipeline to ensure accurate reporting
  • Stay informed about trends and best practices in the packaging industry to discover innovative solutions that drive sales effectiveness 


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
  • Food service / packaging industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in sales leadership positions encompassing field and account management, with a minimum of 3 years in a Sales Director or equivalent role
  • Change agent and innovator – requirement for be forward thinking
  • Extensive expertise in strategic customer management, negotiation, and relationship building
  • Superior capabilities in business planning and execution
