The COO is responsible for overseeing daily operations, leveraging in-depth knowledge and best practices across the end-to-end supply chain and fulfillment processes. Directing actions across the group and leading managers to improve efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring customer satisfaction through service excellence and products that outperform.
Key Responsibilities
- A critical focus will be working closely with the CEO and CFO, to shape the future state of the business, ensuring current services and operating standards of best practice aligned with the business growth strategy.
- At all times, demonstrating professionalism with internal and external stakeholders and pride with having a thorough knowledge of operating standards, relevant regulations and legislation and demonstrate good practice in governance.
- Being the manager of the business, overseeing daily operations with a focus on customer satisfaction and future service delivery.
- Foster & manage strong supplier relationships.
- Lead and inspire a high performing team, ensuring a culture of care, retention, development & attraction of staff & customers.
- Monitor & manage daily dashboards for monitoring sales, inventory, and operations.
- Oversee sales inventory and operations (SI & OP) processes.
- Overall responsibility for the purchasing & fulfillment departments including warehouse and production.
Profile
- Proven experience from a complex large-scale businesses, across warehousing and distribution with complex supply chains.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and supplier relationship management.
- Familiarity with MS office, ERP systems and reporting tools.
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
- Experience dealing directly with a Board, and senior Executive leaders.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Considerable tact and diplomacy.
- Highest ethical standards with a strong moral compass.
- Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
