Our client, a leading Australian brand, is looking for a Senior Employee Relations Consultant to join their dynamic and high-performing team. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in ER, particularly in managing litigation and providing strategic guidance in a fast-paced, large-scale environment.
As a 2IC to the Associate Director, you will take on a pivotal role in managing complex employee relations matters end-to-end and act as the escalation point for the Senior Advisory team.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end management of complex ER matters, including Unfair Dismissals, General Protections claims, Stop Bullying and Stop Sexual Harassment orders, and more.
- Take a hands-on approach in managing workplace grievances and investigations, including bullying, harassment, discrimination, and victimisation claims.
- Oversee disciplinary processes from informal discussions to formal actions, including terminations.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on managing performance concerns and sensitive employee matters.
- Act as a key point of escalation for Advisers and Senior Advisers, supporting them with complex cases and providing advice.
- Support the Associate Director on strategic ER work, including the creation and facilitation of leadership training, policy review, and improving case management processes.
- Engage with stakeholders across different business units to drive consistent and effective ER practices.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, ER, legal, or related fields.
- 6+ years of experience in providing ER advice, with a strong emphasis on litigation. Volume is key.
- At least 3 years of experience managing conciliation's and disputes in the Fair Work Commission (FWC) or similar employment tribunals.
- Proven ability to manage workplace investigations, grievances, and disciplinary matters effectively and impartially.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, collaborating with leadership teams at all levels of the business.
- A background in creating and delivering training programs on ER topics.
