The System Specialist plays a critical role in supporting payroll remediation projects and designing enterprise-wide payroll and time and attendance solutions. This position partners closely with business stakeholders, IT, and external advisors to define requirements, validate outcomes, and enhance payroll processes. Acting as a subject matter expert in SAP SuccessFactors (SF), Employee Central Payroll (ECP), and Payroll Control Centre (PCC), you will support system testing, process improvements, and ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation and enterprise agreements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and document business requirements for payroll remediation and future-state system design.
  • Support data validation and reconciliation activities to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
  • Act as a payroll systems SME across SAP, SuccessFactors, ECP, PCC, and time & attendance platforms.
  • Partner with HR, IT, and advisory teams to deliver system enhancements and testing outcomes.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to strengthen compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Support audit and risk management by maintaining accurate, audit-ready documentation.
  • Stay up to date with payroll legislation, tax, superannuation, and leave entitlements.
  • Provide SME guidance and advice to project teams and business stakeholders.

  • Proven experience with SAP SuccessFactors, Employee Central Payroll (ECP), and Payroll Control Centre (PCC).
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, superannuation, and enterprise agreements.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting payroll remediation projects or system implementations.
  • Ability to analyse and reconcile payroll data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • A proactive approach to risk management, process improvement, and governance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across HR, IT, Finance, and Legal.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
