Job description
The Payroll Senior Advisor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of payroll remediation payments. The role focuses on validating payroll data, performing complex back-pay calculations, and ensuring all payments meet legislative and governance standards. It supports process accuracy, audit readiness, and continuous improvement across payroll operations.

- Validate payroll remediation payment calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with legislation, awards, and internal controls.
- Reconcile payroll data from multiple systems and identify errors or discrepancies.
- Support audits and maintain documentation that meets regulatory and governance requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to manage complex remediation cases.
- Prepare reconciliations, reports, and progress updates for project and management teams.
- Identify and address process or system gaps, supporting improvements that reduce future payroll errors.
- Act as a technical resource, guiding colleagues on payroll data analysis and compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of payroll remediation, back pay, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience with SAP, SuccessFactors, or similar payroll systems.
- Sound understanding of Australian payroll legislation, enterprise agreements, superannuation, and taxation.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to work across large data sets.
- Proven experience supporting audits and maintaining high compliance standards.
- Effective communicator capable of working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous improvement in payroll accuracy and controls.
