The Firm
This is a prominent accounting firm with four offices throughout VIC and NSW. The firm is part of one of Australia's largest accounting networks allowing unparalleled accessibility to support, resourced and training. The firm has service offerings in business advisory, tax, audit and financial planning with a total 45 staff across its four offices however all of the offices operate as one business and support each other.
The Shepparton office was purchased from a sole practitioner within the past year and the current Director plans to phase out over the next six months. The purpose of this role is to immediately run the entire office and become a Director within the next 6-12 months (with equity).
The office currently has six staff and over $1m in fees with potential to grow by at least 10% every year.
They are a very community focused firm, getting involved with local events and charitable organisations often. They also have a very strong family centred culture, with flexible working hours and family-friendly social events that staff can bring their partner and kids along to.
The Role
You will take over from the exiting Director who is soon to be relocating away from the area taking on the entirety of the client base and staff. The clients are predominantly local SMEs. This office is purely business services and tax and the client work is predominantly tax compliance and tax planning driven with some advisory work.
The current team already has a couple of experienced managers who do not wish to progress into a Director role, however they are highly capable in producing the work, running workflow and managing staff leaving your time free to meet with clients and increase the advisory service offerings as you wish.
You will have the ongoing support of two Directors who are based in an office less than one hour away and have further guidance and upskilling from the wider national network. There is also the option to have the support of an offshore team if needed.
