Client Details
My client is a giant Energy organisation known for its organic growth, great reputation in the Australian market & for its fantastic culture supporting learning & development, career progression and hybrid WFH flexibility. 
They are seeking a high-calibre Treasury Analyst to join the Treasury team in this highly analytical role.
 
Description
This is a great opportunity to step up into a broader and more complex role with a clear progression pathway to Senior Treasury Analyst.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage daily cash positions, monitor cash flows, and optimise cash utilisation.
  • Forecast cash requirements and ensure adequate liquidity levels.
  • Execute cash movements between various accounts efficiently.
  • Monitor and analyse liquidity positions, identifying surplus or deficit situations.
  • Develop strategies to optimise liquidity and maximise returns on excess funds.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to forecast liquidity needs accurately.
  • Perform FX hedging and interest rate hedging
  • Oversee the timely and accurate settlement of foreign exchange transactions.
  • Perform liquidity and cash reporting
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and internal controls.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with banks, brokers, and counterparties
  • Collaborate with external parties to facilitate efficient settlements and cash management
  • Gain exposure to more complex treasury functions, such as FX risk management and investment analysis.

Profile
To be successful, you must have:
  • 1-2 years experience working in a Corporate Treasury Reporting role with strong experience with liquidity management, cashflow, FX hedging and interest rate hedging
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivots, v-lookups, complex formulas, VBA) 
  • Ability to build financial models from scratch, work with and manipulate large data sets in Excel 
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder liaison skills
  • Strong problem solving/ analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, internal controls, risk and compliance;
  • CA/CPA/CFA qualification will be highly regarded
