Description

The Trade Finance Originator will be responsible for structuring and arranging trade finance solutions to facilitate international trade transactions. With a specialized focus on SME’s and commodity traders, they will craft tailored financing arrangements to meet the unique requirements of these key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate, structure, and arrange trade finance solutions for clients engaged in international trade .
  • Develop and maintain relationships with importers, exporters, financial institutions, and other relevant stakeholders to identify trade finance opportunities.
  • Analyse trade finance requests, assess credit risks, and recommend appropriate financing structures tailored to clients' needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, trading, risk management, and compliance, to ensure seamless execution of trade finance transactions.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on trade finance solutions, foreign exchange risk management, and international trade practices.
  • Monitor the performance of trade finance portfolios, identify areas for optimisation or risk mitigation, and propose appropriate actions.
Profile
  • Proven experience in trade finance with a strong understanding of trade finance instruments, including letters of credit, trade finance loans, and documentary collections.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess credit risks, structure complex financing solutions, and evaluate market opportunities.
  • Sound understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to trade finance and Forex transactions.
  • Proactive, innovative, and adaptable, with a passion for driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer service.
