Software Developer

You will work with a small team responsible for a variety of tasks including writing code for data cleaning and standardisation, debugging, testing and contributing to the creation of output visualisation tools, and development of Python and R packages.

Its likely you will have at least 1-2 years commercial experience in development using R and/or Python and a undergraduate degree in a relevant scientific related field such as computer science, statistics and/or mathematics.

Key responsibilities are:

·         Write code for specific components of data cleaning and statistical modelling pipelines.
·         Design and implement R and Python packages functionality.
·         Continuously work to minimise technical and maintenance issues
·         Assist in the preparation of reports by generating exploratory data analysis, and summaries of modelling frameworks
·         Assist in the production of manuscripts for publications, presentations and other means of disseminating results
 
Eexperience:

• Excellent R and/or Python programming skills.
• Excellent problem solving, debugging and optimisation skills.
• A good communicator with the ability to verbalise conceptual thoughts and the willingness to accept constructive critique.
• Attention to detail with a strong ability to analyse and comprehend direction.
• Excellent technical insight and a finisher of technical tasks on time.

You must have a valid working visa to be considered for this role.  

These roles are offered on an initial 12 month fixed term contract and offer a competitive salary.
