Senior Projects Lawyer – Construction and Engineering
Leading Global Organisation
Front-End Construction and Project Delivery
In-House – Sydney CBD

A new opportunity has arisen for a senior projects lawyer to join the infrastructure team of a global organisation in Sydney. The role will be supporting the commercial team across large complex projects including energy, water, transport and property.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing leadership on legal and commercial issues relating to proposed projects.
Assisting with structuring, preparing, negotiating, and concluding transactions for projects
Supporting the business in construction dispute resolution.
Responsibility for managing risk for projects in delivery
Advising the business on compliance and risk management

Key Requirements:

Ideally 8+ years PQE gained from a leading private practice firm or in-house organisation
Experience reviewing and negotiating engineering and construction contracts
Previous exposure to construction litigation ideally across large projects
Excellent negotiation and advisory skills
Proven ability to manage competing deadlines with excellent problem solving skills
