A leading ASX listed organisation is looking for a senior legal counsel to join their high performing legal team in Sydney or Melbourne. The role will report into the General Counsel as a 2ic and involve working closely with senior executives and project teams. You will be responsible for providing expert legal advice on complex transactions, negotiating high-value contracts, and ensuring governance excellence across diverse sectors including transport, energy, and social infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing legal advice on complex transactions
- Negotiating high value contracts
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and agreements in line with infrastructure law
- Ensuring governance initiatives across projects
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders
Key Requirements:
- Ideally a minimum of 8 years PQE gained in private practice or leading In-House organisation
- Preferably previous experience with complex transactions within energy, transport, social infrastructure
- Proven knowledge of infrastructure law and contractual frameworks
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and relationship skills
