My client is seeking a high calibre Senior Financial Accountant to join their Finance team in this end-to-end Finance role.
This is a broad and high profile Senior Financial Accountant role giving you the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of responsibilities and projects in this end-to-end role and make a real impact on the business.
Description
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure the timely completion of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare year-end & half-year financial statements
- Perform regulatory APRA/ABS reporting
- Perform tax compliance (BAS/GST)
- Investigate variances
- Work closely with various AASB/IFRS standards such as AASB 16 (Leases), AASB 15 (Revenue)
- Manage relationship with external auditors
- Process improvements and projects
This is an excellent opportunity for a fully Qualified CA / CPA making their first move out of a Big 4 Chartered firm, or for a Financial Accountant / Senior Financial Accountant currently working within a large ASX listed organisation.
The successful candidate must be:
- CA / CPA qualified (must be fully qualified with all subjects completed)
- 3+ years External Audit experience working in a BIG 4 CA Firm or in a similar Senior Financial Accountant role within a large ASX listed organisation
- Experience working closely with various AASB standards
- Detail-oriented, hands on approach, can-do attitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Independent, self-motivated, autonomous and energetic with drive
- Enjoys working in a collaborative environment
- Advanced / Intermediate Excel skills (ability to build pivots, v-lookups and complex formulas)
