About the Client  
This Top 40 firm is part of a reputable global network, as well as having offices across every state in Australia. You will work face-to-face with a portfolio of national and international clients with complex entities from an array of industries to help them reach their financial goals. This is perfect for someone with excellent communication skills who is technologically adept and can work both in a team and autonomously with confidence. 
You will be focused on business advisory, such as management accounting and tax consulting, and you will delegate and review your compliance work to a team of junior and intermediate accountants. This is an opportunity to become deeply involved in your profession and provide value-add services to help clients reach the financial goals, as well as source business development opportunities for the wider organisation.  
The client is situated in a newly upgraded building precinct in Sydney CBD, surrounded by bars, coffee shops, and restuarants. About the Role  
Be directly involved in helping your clients reach their financial goals as you work alongside managers and partners, as well as the CEOs and CFOs of the clients. You will guide and delegate to a team of up to 5 accountants as well as review their work. In addition, you will:  
  • Conduct tasks such as management accounting, board report packs, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and succession planning  
  • Manage a client portfolio independently and provide tailored client advice  
  • Complex tax returns and financial statements for large client groups, as well as review tax matters including GST, CGT, FBT and Div7a  
  • Work with a diverse range of clients with TOs of up to 1 billion, including mining, HNWIs, family groups, major retail outlets, medical
  • Be the point of contact for clients and hold regular face to face (or virtual) meetings  
  • Delegate and review work for your team 
Skills & Experience  
  • CA/CPA qualified 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team  
  • Minimum 3 years Public Practice experience  
  • Superb communication skills  
  • Expert tax and accounting knowledge 
  • Australian/NZ permanent residency essential
