Job description

•      Procurement Specialist role for an instantly recognisable food manufacturer

•      Purpose built manufacturing HQ with a hybrid working model, succession plan to Head of

•      Experience within FMCG required, preferably food manufacturing

Client Details

The business is a food manufacturer with revenues of $250m who moved into a purpose built facility near Fairfield. After exponential growth in recent years the business is still family owned and has numerous new products coming to market across their categories.

Description

Reporting into the Head of Procurement you will help lead a small supply chain and the purchasing team, ensuring all elements of inbound supply and purchases are met to the requirements of production. Working closely with production, quality and commercial leaders your team will:

Own purchasing activities to flow through to production (reporting on any quality related issues and solutions)
Ensure all purchase orders match with invoiced price and quantity, structuring delivery time slots with suppliers whilst tracking finished goods and international cargo stock transit
induct supplier and secondary ingredient approval
Develop purchasing processes and efficiencies as part of the Supply team focusing on supplier relationship development to assist with strategic sourcing
Ensure quality, food safety systems and processes conform to standards (SQF, HACCP).

Profile

You have at least 2-3 years experience in a purchasing role within a FMCG (preferably food or fresh products), exposure to SQF and HACCP along with expert ERP and systems skills. You are able to build relationships across a business and thrive in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Job Offer

Circa $130,000 + super + 10% bonus
