Background
Our client is an Aussie family-owned business established in 2004. They specialise in equipment for grinding and polishing concrete floors, dust control, and other tools designed to help construction professionals complete their projects more safely and efficiently.
 
Role
The BDM is responsible for acquiring new customers as well as maintaining and expanding existing accounts across NSW to support the organisation’s sales targets. The BDM will conduct face-to-face demonstrations onsite, collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs thoroughly, and tailor solutions accordingly to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes. The BDM will work closely with the Sydney Branch Manager.
 
Primary responsibilities are as follows
  • Collaborate with the marketing team, utilising insights to proactively prospect.
  • Create and implement call planning cycles to capitalize on new and existing customer opportunities.
  • Qualify, manage, and convert equipment sales leads through the sales pipeline, prioritising equipment demonstrations.
  • Responsible for attaining sales targets (revenue and profit) and meeting customer KPIs.
  • Proactively implementing strategies to acquire and engage potential new customers.
  • Ensure all customer interactions are recorded in Salesforce CRM.
  • Contribute to the refinement of the Strategic Sales plan.
 
Profile
  • Proven track record in sales within the construction equipment sector or closely related industries.
  • Demonstrated expertise in customer management, negotiation, and relationship building.
  • Proactive approach in tackling challenges, leveraging creativity and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances.
