Description
The Inventory Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory control, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and optimisation of inventory processes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using computerised systems, SAP.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counting and bulk stocktake.
- Coordinate with supply chain, purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate receipt and delivery of inventory.
- Analyse inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimise losses and maximise efficiency.
- Identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory and recommend appropriate actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast inventory needs and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory status, including stock levels, turnover, and shrinkage.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
- Proven experience in inventory control or related role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices and principles.
