Job description
Our client a leading IT Solutions Business is seeking a suitably experienced Systems Engineer to join their dynamic Perth-based team.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an MSP environment, thrive on variety and be willing to take the lead on several initiatives at once.
The successful candidate will be an effective, confident communicator with the ability to work as an integral part of a tight-knit team while also being totally comfortable working without constant supervision.
Duties:
· Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Solid foundation in networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching, VLAN configuration and WiFi.
· Experience in network security, securing Windows environments and familiarity with Essential 8 and/or NIST frameworks.
· Expertise in Server Virtualisation including VMware and Hyper-V.
· Experience with VoIP and IP PBX systems.
· Expertise in Office 365, Azure AD, Active Directory.
· Familiarity with endpoint management tools such as MS Intune.
· Familiarity with leading brands of networking and security appliances, including Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, and Palo Alto.
· Experience managing data protection regimes using Veeam.
· MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, or any other relevant vendor certifications would be considered a significant advantage.
Work will be predominantly based in Perth CBD offices (so easily accessed via public transport) with some on-site work required. A valid driver’s licence is also a requirement.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience in configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting systems
- Strong scripting and technical skills
- 5 Years minimum in a Systems Engineer role
