Our client is an Australian privately held organisation founded 15 years ago. The business has sustainable, impressive growth and has continued growth plans. This B2B manufacturing business has an exciting, newly created, opportunity for a HR Manager to set up lead and build the people function.
 
Description
This is a critical, newly created, leadership role within a fast-growing scaling business. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is responsible for the Human Resources function across Head Office and Manufacturing Operations. It will see you work closely with the leadership team and in a newly created role. 
 
The successful candidate will need to have led a HR function with a white- & blue-collar workforce. You will have had experience with an SME; hands on approach, been responsible for a people strategy in a business scaling through growth.  Someone who knows what good looks like regarding setting up a HR function from scratch, balanced with commerciality and fit for purpose processes and plans.

  • Leading company vision, mission & values to all employees
  • Ensuring compliance activities including the health, welfare, and safety of all employees
  • Ensuring the people plans support the financial performance of the business including revenue and profit growth plans
  • Building an end-to end people plan for attraction, retention and development
  • Ensure the organisation complies with statutory regulations
  • Reviewing the quality, addressing required actions and putting in place people processes
  • Personally engaging with outsourced HR service provider
  • Proactively lead and build the HR function and act as a business partner to all members of the executive leadership team
 
To be successful in this role you will have
  • Extensive and broad HR experience
  • Previous experience working with a fast growing, privately held business
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff at all levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated broad business acumen
