Head of Legal, Corporate & Commercial
Part of the Senior Leadership Team
Sydney CBD – Hybrid Working

About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced commercial lawyer to head their Corporate & Commercial legal team. This senior role offers the opportunity to be a key part of the strategic business operations and work closely with leaders and senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Negotiating high value private and public sector contracts, technology agreements, and strategic procurement.
Driving the legal strategy for the Corporate & Commercial function, in line with business objectives.
Overseeing company secretarial, governance, and regulatory compliance (AML, Modern Slavery, Privacy) and the M&A lifecycle.
Developing and leading a team of commercial lawyers
Assisting with legal technology and process improvements.

Key Requirements:

Ideally 15+ years’ PQE gained from a leading firm or In-House organisation
Highly experienced in commercial law, corporate governance with technology law being viewed favourably.
Previous exposure to M&A transactions
Ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple stakeholders
Proven people leadership experience
Excellent negotiating and influencing skills.
