Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Lead Sys Admin/Infra Manager passionate about maintaining a high performing ICT environment. This role is ideally suited for a high-calibre candidate possessing excellent interpersonal skills and a pragmatic, can-do attitude. Reporting to the Head of ICT, the Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for ensuring the underlying network infrastructure and its associated technology operate efficiently, perform within agreed targets, and deliver a safe and secure platform. You will be required to utilise your advanced technical skills and experience to optimise the existing IT infrastructure, networks, cloud, cyber security, and end-user computing.

  • Overseeing day to day ICT operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of critical systems, infrastructure, networks, cloud, security, and end-user computing.
  • Day-to-day, you will be on the tools actioning tickets, delivering break fixes, operating as a senior escalation point, and implementing necessary enhancements and changes associated with agreed projects.
  • You are a tech at heart with your roots as a technical Sys Admin, however you are also a great communicator, people leader, and project manager with some experience in management but aspirations for more.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external, including 3rd party vendors (MSP’s).
  • Work with other departments to identify and address their technology needs.
  • Manage the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and databases, ensuring their security, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Working closely with our ICT Service Provider, oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Manage the IT budget, including identifying cost savings and optimisation opportunities.

Profile

The person we are seeking is a bright, energetic self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision. You must demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly and professionally to new and evolving situations while showcasing your initiative, prioritisation, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced setting.

  • A degree or qualification in relevant studies.
  • 5 years IT tech, leading IT solutions, & engineers (Infrastructure and Systems).
  • Hands-on technical experience:
  • Windows Operating Systems (Server & Workstation) + VMWare.
  • Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Modern End User Compute Management / Optimisation / PowerShell / Group PolicSCCM / Autopilot / Intune.
  • Global Admin of Office 365 Administrator (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Microsoft Enterprise Mobility & Security).
  • Own Cyber Security Compliance.
  • Administered complex AWS Cloud environments.
