Key Responsibilities:
- Project Financial Analysis & Reporting: Lead financial reviews of construction projects, providing in-depth analysis to support operational and financial decisions. Drive monthly project profitability reviews and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Project Budgeting & Forecasting: Play a central role in the budgeting and forecasting process, particularly for large-scale construction projects. Identify opportunities to improve financial performance, optimize resource allocation, and manage project costs.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Oversee cash flow for construction projects, leading weekly debtors’ meetings and ensuring effective treasury management. Implement strategies to improve project cash flow and reduce risk.
- Management Reporting: Work closely with the Senior Financial Accountant to generate monthly and quarterly reports, leveraging global financial systems to support project performance analysis and reporting.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with project managers and other non-finance teams, providing financial insights to improve processes, track project milestones, and drive business growth across the construction portfolio.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CA/CPA qualification is essential.
- Industry Experience: 3+ years of financial analysis experience, ideally within the construction or infrastructure sectors, with a strong understanding of project-based accounting.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial modeling. Knowledge of large ERP systems (Business Central, MS Dynamics) and exposure to construction project management tools is highly advantageous.
- Personal Attributes: Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate with project teams. Experience in a business partnering role within a project-driven environment is a must.
- Salary: $150,000 + Super, negotiable based on experience.
