About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Data & Product
As a Data Engineer, you’ll be involved in the design, delivery, and maintenance of data assets to meet a range of business needs.
Data Engineer will support cross functional teams across the organization for a variety of data initiatives, from ingesting and modelling clickstream data to better understand our users, to integrating databases with third party platforms for activation of audiences in media, or building pipelines for Machine Learning.

As a Data Engineer, you’ll be involved in the design, delivery, and maintenance of data assets to meet a range of business needs.
Data Engineer will support cross functional teams across the organization for a variety of data initiatives, from ingesting and modelling clickstream data to better understand our users, to integrating databases with third party platforms for activation of audiences in media, or building pipelines for Machine Learning.
Responsibilities:
- Creation, management, and deployment of data transformation pipelines
- Identify, create, and implement internal process improvements, e.g. automation of manual processes, data delivery optimizations, infrastructure design for improved scalability, etc.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a variety of data sources
- Work with stakeholders including the Product, Data and Development teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Design and develop end to end data processing and transformation processes to support BI and analytics solutions
- Testing data models and databases for discrepancies, accuracy, and completeness, and creating processes to ensure that any issues are resolved before reaching the end user.
- Understand data requirements from key stakeholders and develop solutions to achieve business outcomes
- Work with the Engineering team to analyze data integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions
- 3+ years experience with data engineering and modelling
- Degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
- Data pipeline, integration and manipulation experience
- Previous experience with GCP or other cloud platforms - previous exposure to tools like Snowplow & dbt a big plus!
- Strong SQL skills essential, knowledge of other data languages like R or Python a bonus
- Knowledge of data management best practices, processes, tools, standards, and methodologies
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills, able to effectively translate technical terms and concepts for broader non-technical audiences
