Co-ordinator, Operations, Strategy and Performance
NSW Government Department | Full-Time – 5-Month Contract | St Leonards

Are you an organised and proactive professional with strong financial administration skills and a passion for supporting executive leadership and contract compliance? A NSW Government Department is seeking a motivated Executive & Contracts Support Officer to provide high-level support to the Director, Operations, Strategy & Performance, while also assisting with financial processes and ensuring smooth coordination of goods and services contract administration across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver executive-level administrative support, including diary management, document preparation, and secretariat services.
  • Manage AP/AR functions and perform accurate coding and journal entries with minimal direction.
  • Assist with invoicing, reconciliations, and general finance administration to support the broader operations team.
  • Oversee the coordination and compliance of contracts in line with NSW Government procurement policies and procedures.
  • Administer and advise on the lifecycle, compliance, and archiving of contracts to support best-practice procurement.
  • Act as e-Tendering Administrator, ensuring documentation aligns with state requirements.
  • Monitor and report on active contracts, preparing monthly reports for divisional review.
  • Coordinate facilities management activities, including urgent and scheduled maintenance.
  • Support the internal audit program, including documentation and Audit & Risk Committee meeting coordination.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Strong understanding of NSW public sector procurement frameworks (or ability to quickly learn).
  • Solid finance skills, including AP/AR, coding, journal entries, invoicing, and reconciliations.
  • Proven experience supporting senior executives and managing complex administrative workflows.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal direction.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a strong focus on compliance, accuracy, and process improvement.
  • Confident stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work across multiple teams.
