Due to their exponential organic growth, my client is seeking a high caliber Commercial Accountant to join their Finance team.
Job Description
Responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting & Accounting:
• Perform month end close activities include adjusting journals, bank reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
• Assist with the preparation of half-year and full-year financial statements.
• Perform accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries
Taxation:
• Preparation and lodgement of annual tax returns, BAS returns and payroll tax returns.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Preparation of annual budget
• Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly performance reporting
• Assist with the preparation of weekly flash reports including payroll, revenue, cost, cost of goods sold and target reporting
• Finance business partner with venue managers to understand revenue and cost drivers. Assist with business driver analysis and insight generation.
Property and Family Office Accounting:
• Work closely with the CFO of the Family Office
• Support the management of property and family office finances, including financial reporting, tax compliance, and other related tasks.
Internal Controls:
• Develop and maintain internal controls and document procedures.
Profile
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accountant with 2+ years experience looking to broaden their exposure and work for an impressive high-growth organisation that ensures progression.
The successful candidate must have:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA/CA qualified).
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Exposure to the hospitality and accommodation industry and property/family office accounting will be highly regarded
• Big 4 /mid-tier Chartered background will be highly regarded
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with NetSuite systems will be highly regarded. Proficiency in accounting software, such as Xero or MYOB.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Energetic, driven and keen eye for detail
Job Offer
The salary on offer is $100,000 to $120,000 base + super.
