Change & Communications Manager
Location: Sydney (Hybrid Work)
Contract: 6 months
We’re seeking a hands-on Change & Communications Manager to support a large-scale organisational transformation within a government agency. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on executing change and communication plans, supporting workforce transitions, and working across functions to deliver outcomes.
About the Role
You’ll work alongside the Chief People Officer, People Project Manager, and Transformation Office to help implement a new workforce model. With a high-level change strategy already defined, your focus will be on engaging impacted teams, ensuring business readiness, and delivering clear, consistent messaging throughout the transition.
We’re also open to candidates with a stronger communications focus — particularly those with experience engaging workforces through organisational change.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the engagement and change plan across business areas
- Develop tailored communications: leader briefings, FAQs, intranet content, updates
- Support managers and employees through periods of transition
- Identify change risks or resistance and suggest practical solutions
- Ensure alignment between project activities and operational readiness
- Provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders
You’re a confident communicator and change delivery professional, capable of adapting quickly and working with minimal direction.
You bring:
- Experience delivering organisational change or major workforce communications
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- The ability to manage priorities and navigate complex environments
- Experience in government or regulated sectors (ideal but not essential)
- 6-month contract with possible extension
- Sydney-based with hybrid flexibility
- Work on a high-impact people-focused transformation
