Job description

Specialist Analyst – Commercial Partnering (Payments Processing)
Enable Smarter Spending and Stronger Partnerships
6 -month contract

Join one of Australia’s leading general insurers and support critical finance and technology operations by managing payments, partnering with stakeholders, and helping teams spend smarter.

About the Role Are you detail-oriented and great with people? As a Specialist Analyst in Commercial Partnering, you’ll play a vital role in managing the end-to-end vendor payment process on behalf of our Technology and Operations teams. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounts payable knowledge, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a knack for problem-solving.

Based in our Commercial Office, you’ll support business units by raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and helping teams make informed commercial decisions. You’ll also have the opportunity to improve and streamline processes — with a real focus on collaboration and innovation.

This is a flexible mix of work-from-home and office-based arrangements.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage end-to-end payments processing: raise purchase orders, process invoices, and reconcile accounts.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in procurement tools (e.g., uBuy) and support Tech & Ops teams.

  • Handle supplier onboarding and vendor setup.

  • Communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Support commercial decisions with reporting, data analysis, and stakeholder insights.

  • Identify process improvements and automation opportunities across finance operations.

  • Collaborate closely with business leaders, procurement, and finance teams.

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in accounts payable, procurement, or office management.

  • Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay processes and systems.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems and improve processes.

  • A degree in a business-related field (preferred).

  • 3+ years' experience in an office-based or commercial support role.

Why Join Us?
  • Make an impact in a key finance support role that touches every corner of the business.

  • Enjoy variety in your day — from payments processing to process improvement.

  • Join a collaborative, purpose-driven organisation that values diversity and flexibility.

This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact, work with a supportive team, and grow your career in commercial partnering.
