Our client is a fast growing, Australian owned FMCG distributor representing a mix of established and emerging brands across multiple channels including wholesale, route, petrol & convenience, foodservice, and pharmacy.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Wholesale Sales Manager to take full ownership of a national wholesale customer portfolio and lead the next phase of commercial growth.
This role is suited to a hands-on FMCG wholesale professional who understands distributor dynamics, margin management, and how to build profitable, long term wholesale relationships.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will manage and grow an established portfolio of wholesale customers while leading and coaching a small internal sales team based in Prestons.
This is a commercially accountable role combining strategic account management, new business development, and people leadership, with direct responsibility for sales performance and margins.

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage and grow a national portfolio of FMCG wholesale distribution customers
  • Develop and execute account and territory strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets
  • Identify and secure new wholesale distribution opportunities
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports to ensure strong execution and service standards
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and finance
  • Represent the business at industry events, customer meetings, and presentations
What You Bring:
  • Proven FMCG sales experience within wholesale and/or distribution channels (essential)
  • Experience leading or mentoring team members (formal or informal)
  • Strong commercial acumen with a history of delivering profitable growth
  • Confidence managing distributor pricing, margins, and commercial negotiations
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales reporting tools
  • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
