Our client:

With 83 great schools across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese serve one of the fastest growing areas of NSW. The group has been investing in large-scale transformation to ensure they stay ahead of the curve and continue to provide the best education possible.

Our client is moving from PageUp to SuccessFactors next year. To this end, a lot of manual work is required to get up to speed.

Crucial to this success is the appointment of an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager. This champion of best practice will lead, guide, and empower a small team of recruitment professionals.
A strong understanding of functional processes, to map and track, whilst bringing the broader group on the centralised journey is critical.

The strategy is in place and a rockstar is needed to move the function in the strategic direction.

With a more robust structure in place, the TAM has full backing from the executive leadership team.
 
Job Description:

The Talent Acquisition Manager is accountable for:
  • Developing and improving CSPD's employee value proposition and voice of talent to the market through multiple streams (e.g. advertising, networks, social platforms, new media) expanding opportunities to create great first and ongoing impressions of CSPD as an employer of choice.
  • Acting as a senior talent partner to stakeholders and developing a strong understanding of our schools' various contexts and needs.
  • Collaborating with Workforce Strategy leaders and other key stakeholders, using system and market data and trends to identify current and forecast talent needs and developing key measures and insights to communicate with the Executive Leadership Team and the Board.
  • Building strategic sourcing capacity, including talent market mapping, recruitment marketing collateral, and networking as well as developing strategic recruitment campaigns to respond to immediate and anticipated talent needs.
  • Leading recruitment and talent pool development and management for school leadership and executive roles.
  • Implementing strategies and processes to ensure a positive candidate experience, from first contact to on-boarding.
  • Supporting the Talent team to grow their knowledge of CSPD's workforce and talent processes, bringing consistency of practice to increase efficiency and improve service levels.
  • Developing standard operating procedures and key performance indicators to measure and celebrate success.
  • Leading the continuous improvement of our recruitment model, ensuring adoption of talent tools and processes including the ATS and casual management system.
 
Candidate Profile:

An experienced Talent Acquisition Manager and a true people leader is necessary to execute on organisational strategy.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or Human Resources.
  • Education experience desirable but not a deal breaker.
  • At least 3-5 years in a similar management role leading a team.
  • Change management experience.
  • Demonstrable track record in building and uplifting capability.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience with good influencing ability.
  • Negotiation, conflict management and interpersonal skills.
  • Whilst our client offers hybrid, flexibility is appreciated as and when the need or projects arise.
 
Process:
  • Telephone screening and interview with Ashley Duffy to assess suitability.
  • If successful, this role with interview with the hiring manager – Workforce Strategy Manager and the Executive Director.
  • If progressed to the second stage, you will be required to complete a task to demonstrate your ability to map through a situation to a successful solution.
