State Operations Manager – NSW

Backed by cutting-edge technology and a commitment to service excellence, this business is scaling its national footprint while continuously evolving its delivery model. As NSW State Manager, you’ll lead a large regional team, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable movement of these products.
 
The Opportunity
Based at the company’s Northern Shore office, you’ll oversee operations across four NSW sites, including Sydney, Newcastle, and Canberra. You’ll lead a large and diverse team of over 100 people across drivers, warehouse staff, supervisors, and planners all working in a high-pressure, fast-response environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and inspire large, multi-site teams in a 24/7 delivery environment
  • Oversee the safe and timely delivery of critical healthcare products
  • Manage performance, service levels, safety, and operational KPIs
  • Drive continuous improvement across people, process, and technology
  • Scale teams effectively to support ongoing growth and service expansion
  • Navigate the challenges of unpredictable delivery schedules
  • Maintain and grow key client relationships in the medical and logistics space
  • Integrate new team members during acquisition and growth activity
What You’ll Bring:
  • Proven success leading large-scale operations, ideally in time-critical industries or healthcare, logistics.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-site teams in high-volume environments
  • Strong people leadership  capable of leading with clarity and care
  • Ability to balance daily operations with transformation initiatives
  • Operational problem-solver who thrives in pressure and ambiguity
  • Experience working with large contractor workforces is a plus
  • A calm, commercially-minded approach to navigating change
