A new opportunity has arisen for a senior front-end construction lawyer to join the infrastructure team of a global organisation in Sydney. The role role reports to the Infrastructure Regional Manager of Legal based in Sydney. The role will be supporting the Public Infrastructure, Renewables and Clean Power and Heavy Civil business lines across the APAC region, with a focus on Australia and will see you working across a variety or projects including rail, communications, airports and energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership on legal and commercial issues relating to proposed projects and contracts in the Asia Pacific Region
- Assisting with structuring, preparing, negotiating, and concluding transactions for projects in the Asia Pacific Region
- Providing support on legal issues during the execution of projects
- Advising the business on compliance and risk management
Key Requirements:
- Ideally 8+ years PQE gained from a leading private practice firm or in-house organisation
- Experience reviewing and negotiating engineering and construction contracts
- Excellent negotiation and advisory skills
- Proven ability to manage competing deadlines with excellent problem solving skills
