Our client is one of Australia’s biggest national firms hiring a Senior Associate into their Disputes & Investigations team in Sydney, to work with a leading partner in the media, IP & defamation space.

The role:

You will be responsible for running disputes and litigation in the areas of defamation, privacy and IP (including trade marks, copyright and designs)
You will display a strong drive for business development, client relationship management and other commercial activities.
You will have a strong commitment to continuing your own professional development and be passionate about coaching and mentoring more junior members of the team
You will have strong presentation skills for dealing with media and IP clients

You will possess:

A minimum of 5 years PAE from a well-regarded commercial litigation practice, ideally with experience in media/IP or media-adjacent sectors. Experience from other sectors combined with a demonstrable desire to work in this field will be considered. Lawyers with a commercial litigation background are welcome to apply.
Experience taking the lead on disputes, confident running own matters and dealing directly with clients.
Solid academics.
