Production Manager

•      Medium sized fabrication business recently acquired by a larger business

•      Production Leadership role, team of 50 across 3 factory units, report to the Site Operations Manager

•      Metals, building materials or industrial manufacturing background preferred

Client Details

The business is a medium sized fabrication business in Brisbane’s South East. After recently being purchased by a much larger group off the back of exceptional sales growth, the business requires a forward thinking, added value Production Manager on site.

Description

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager your responsibility will span the sites fabrication operation employing 50 staff and separate warehousing facility. Specifically you will manage:

-50 staff across operations spanning 2 separate factories along with a small, newly acquired warehouse
-Responsibility for all first line management, supervision and HR matters for site based operators
-Output and safety first working
-Responsible for troubleshooting around site equipment as well as devising plans to reduce waste and improve efficiencies

Profile

You are a proven Production Manager with your experience having been gained managing a small to medium sized team in an industrial, metals manufacturing, machining or fabricating or building products environment. You will be able to evidence improvements regarding safety and process and be hands on your approach to the shop floor. Ideally you will be ex shop floor (ie boiler maker, welder, machinist) and have grown into a leadership role where you were responsible for both production and outbound warehousing.

Job Offer

Salary + super + bonus (negotiable dependant on experience)
