Description 

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join the Chief Risk Office, Technology & Operations team. In this role, you will provide specialist second-line oversight, challenge, and advice on Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Management (BCM). You will collaborate with Risk Advisors and First Line practitioners to enhance and safeguard the organisation’s resilience during unexpected events.
  • Provide Independent Oversight: Offer expert second-line oversight and advice to mature and embed the BCM Framework, collaborating with Risk Advisors and First Line practitioners.
  • Develop and Present Risk Views: Create and present a comprehensive Group view of Business Continuity risks using both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Continuous Monitoring and Improvement: Conduct ongoing monitoring of BCM practices, making recommendations to enhance Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), Business Impact Assessments, and controls.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Business Continuity, Risk, or Financial Services, with a strong background in BCM programs and complex environments. You should possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, along with experience in project delivery, change programs, and facilitating workshops. A solid understanding of IT infrastructure and disaster recovery is essential.
  • Experience: 5+ years in Business Continuity, Risk, or Financial Services, with expertise in completing and reviewing BIAs and BCPs.
  • Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration abilities; experience in Group Risk and influencing first-line practitioners.
  • Qualifications: Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degrees, with additional experience in Banking, or Government sectors being desirable.
