A leading ANZ organisation has a new opportunity to join their legal team as a legal counsel. This role will be responsible for ensuring that the company operates according to the highest ethical, legal, and compliance standards and the Legal Counsel will provide legal support and advice across various departments for the groups entities.
Description
Key Responsibilities;
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts including contractual reviews, service agreements, subcontractors, consultancy, agency, vendors and lease agreements.
- Preparing and providing legal advice to various business areas on discrete legal issues.
- Assisting with mergers and acquisitions
- Keeping management up to date with regulations and policy recommendations.
- Any other ad-hoc duties that may be required.
Profile
Key Requirements;
- Ideally a minimum of 4 years PQE gained from a renowned firm or In-house organisation
- Strong technical experience in negotiating, reviewing and drafting contracts
- The ability to work across a variety of matters with competing timeframes
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Enjoy working as part of a team and autonomously.
- Ability to foster positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
