Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join a supportive, purpose-driven team on a 12-month maternity leave contract.
In this generalist HR role, you will provide end-to-end support to key client groups across four core areas: people and culture operations, recruitment, workplace health and safety, and team coordination (including payroll backup). You’ll play a key role in enabling a positive, high-performing, and inclusive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

People & Culture Operations
  • Act as a trusted advisor, managing HR queries and employment relations matters for client groups.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and exit processes.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and assist with contract administration.
  • Contribute to HR projects, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Recruitment Support & Coordination
  • Deliver end-to-end recruitment services including advertising, screening, and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure timely, compliant, and engaging recruitment processes.
  • Support the development and maintenance of an Employee Value Proposition and onboarding experience.
Workplace Health & Safety
  • Assist with workplace health and safety (WHS) activities, including committee support, reporting, and case management.
  • Support the delivery of well-being initiatives and WHS projects across the organization.
People & Culture Coordination (Including Payroll Backup)
  • Provide payroll support during periods of leave or absence.
  • Assist with general office and administrative duties to support People & Culture operations.
About You:
You’re an adaptable HR professional who enjoys variety and collaboration. You bring sound HR generalist experience, a practical understanding of Australian workplace legislation, and the confidence to partner effectively with leaders and employees alike.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a generalist HR or business partnering role.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge of Fair Work and WHS legislation.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
