Do you dream of growing into a Chief Operating Officer role, leaving your mark on a dynamic, family-owned business poised for exponential growth? Our client has an excpetional opportunity to step in the a head of operations role overseeing 2 distribution centres and a well honed team. They’ve built their reputation on Making Operations Easy, Innovation, Service Reliability, and Customer Obsession. Now, with a recent brand refresh, a brand-new, state-of-the-art North Island Distribution Centre, and an ambitious plan to double their business in 3-5 years, they’re inviting a Head of Operations to go on this exciting journey with them. 
 
The Role

This isn't just a job; it's a launchpad. As the new Head of Operations, you'll be joining a tight-knit, ambitious leadership team alongside their MD and Director of Sales. You'll bring vital external expertise to the table, driving efficiencies, optimising processes, and laying the groundwork for the future. They’re not hiring for their current state; they’re hiring for the future COO you're destined to become!
 

• Take the reins of their entire operational landscape, overseeing both their Auckland (North Island) and Blenheim (South Island) Distribution Centres.
• Coach, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team of 9 (with potential to grow to 12 if Client Experience reports into you!). 
• Drive operational strategic objectives, constantly seeking out opportunities to streamline decisions, optimise processes, and ensure their "next-day nationwide delivery" promise is ironclad.
• Manage the end-to-end supply chain, from smart procurement to seamless inventory management and lightning-fast distribution.
• Hunt down inefficiencies, drive down costs, and implement cutting-edge process improvements that elevate their service and delight their customers.
• Work hand-in-hand with their leadership team, aligning operational goals with their aggressive growth strategies.

 
You

• A seasoned operations leader with a proven track record in distribution, supply chain, or a related field.
• A natural coach and mentor, passionate about developing and empowering your team.
• A strategic thinker with a sharp analytical mind and a knack for problem-solving.
• Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.
• A process improvement champion who constantly seeks better, smarter ways of doing things.
• Experience with Netsuite or similar ERP systems
• You understand the nuances of the supply chain and how to build strong, lasting relationships with partners.
