A large-scale enterprise at the forefront of Australia's connectivity and digital transformation efforts, our client is looking for a mature, strategic operator to join their team as an Associate Director | Business Partnering, supporting two key executive portfolios. This is a role for someone who brings depth of experience, critical thinking, and a calm, judgement-led approach to business partnering.

You’ll be a trusted advisor through large-scale change, organisational embedding, and workforce transformation.

Role highlights:
  • Strategic Business Partnering: Align people strategies to business goals across two diverse portfolios: Finance and Marketing/Comms, each with unique challenges and priorities.
  • Org Design & Embedding: Support the CA&M function as it consolidates a newly structured leadership team and operating model.
  • Transformation Support: Guide the CFO function re workforce streamlining, and a significant transformation program.
  • Change & Risk Advisory: Lead with strong ER capability and a clear understanding of how risk and compliance intersect with people-related decisions.
  • Executive Influence: Work closely with senior leaders to coach, guide, and influence strategy and cultural shifts. Often acting with a high degree of autonomy and trust.
The successful applicant:
  • Enterprise P&C Experience: You’ve operated at scale in large, complex organisations and know how to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Mature Judgement: You bring strong judgement and emotional intelligence. You are able to influence at senior levels while staying grounded. You have the confidence to ask for support or guidance when required.
  • Transformation Focus: Proven success in change-heavy environments, with the ability to coach leaders and embed sustainable solutions.
  • Risk and ER Strength: You have solid expertise in employee relations, and you understand the broader context of organisational and compliance risk.
  • Commercial Awareness: Able to connect people strategy with business performance, especially in finance-related environments.
