Full Stack AEM Developer - Contract Position
Government sector based in Eveleigh - Hybrid
FULL TIME – 9 month Contract Position

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the AEM web platform with a focus on high-quality standards.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Create and execute automated and unit tests using appropriate tools and scripting.
  • Conduct peer code reviews, ensuring adherence to security, performance, resiliency, and coding standards.
  • Collaborate effectively within and across development and quality teams.
  • Ensure code compliance with established coding standards.
  • Produce technical documentation for websites and digital applications.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in web development and delivery.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects and tasks relevant to the role’s key responsibilities as approved by the Manager.
Requirements:
  • Strong Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Java skills, with 5+ years of experience building applications with Java 11 and later.
  • Expertise in AEM 6.5, including editable templates, core and custom components, taxonomy, metadata management, replication, workflows, tagging, analytics, dispatcher, deployment (Maven), and content migration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AEM best practices, including accessibility, SEO, URL management, security, performance tuning, and responsive architecture.
  • In-depth understanding of OSGi, Apache Sling, Apache Sightly, Apache Oak, Coral UI, and Granite UI.
  • Proficiency in unit testing frameworks like JUnit5 and AEM Mocks.
  • Experience integrating AEM with third-party web services.
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Groovy and Bash.
  • Familiarity with AEM capabilities, including editable templates, multi-site manager, blueprints, and online marketing components like advanced targeting, personalization, and multivariate testing.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with Content Fragments and Experience Fragments.
