Employee Relations Consultant
Location: Macquarie Park /Hybrid 
Duration: 9-month contract

 
A high-profile organisation is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to manage complex ER matters and provide expert guidance to leaders and advisory teams. This is a key role supporting a broad range of employee relations issues and driving best practice across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end management of complex ER cases, including grievances, workplace investigations, performance management, and disciplinary matters.
  • Manage litigation matters up to conciliation/conference stage, including unfair dismissal and general protections claims.
  • Provide expert coaching to leaders on performance and conduct issues, including termination processes.
  • Support the management of employees on long-term sick leave.
  • Act as a point of escalation for Advisors and Senior Advisors, offering guidance and oversight.
  • Assist with ER projects, such as policy reviews, case process improvements, and the delivery of leadership training.
Stakeholder Engagement: You’ll collaborate with a variety of internal stakeholders across different business units, including:
  • People & Culture Business Partners
  • WHS and Payroll teams
  • Business Leaders
  • Fraud and Risk teams
About You:
  • Tertiary qualification in HR, ER, law or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an employee relations role within a large, fast-paced organisation
  • Demonstrated experience with conciliation processes at the Fair Work Commission or similar bodies
  • Strong background in handling workplace investigations, grievances, and compliance issues
  • Confident managing stakeholders with varied experience levels across different areas of the business
