Description

Sitting within the Employee Relations team, the ER Advisors will provides specialist ER support to leaders across all sites by case managing employee relations matters.

  • End to end case management of employee relations cases including performance management, misconduct, grievances, absence management, non-work related illnesses and injuries and investigations

  • Build leadership capability by guiding, mentoring and/or coaching Team Leaders on all employee relations cases:

    • Assess the risk and reference legislative requirements to ensure compliance with the law, the relevant industrial instrument and Company policy

    • Coach on the relevant process, provide context and recommend appropriate next steps

    • Recommend and provide simplistic tools, scripts and templates for the leader completion and delivery

    • Review and provide feedback to Team Leaders on completed documentation

    • Ensure leaders are confident in delivering structured and effective conversations with team members

    • Escalate high level matters to the relevant stakeholders

  • Ensure advice regarding employment conditions, workplace arrangements and benefits are aligned to applicable / relevant national employment standards, modern awards, enterprise agreements and/or company policy

  • Identify trends and work with HR Business Partners to understand the root cause of cases and determine proactive solutions to prevent further similar cases

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and encouraging self-service

  • Work with the WH&S team to ensure policy and procedures are in place and adhered to

  • Assist with project work on an ad hoc basis




Profile

To be successful in this application, you will have:

  • At least three years similar experience within a large and fast moving organisation

  • A demonstrated track record working through end to end complex employee relations (performance management, misconduct, absence management, investigations) cases

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills

  • An ability to coach leaders to improve capability

  • Experience working across and effectively influencing stakeholders within a range of levels across an organisation.
