Government sector – Parramatta

Full time - 3 month Contract position

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse business intentions, services, processes, and information needs to identify changes for solutions and enhancements.
  • Engage with stakeholders to define, analyse, and document business and customer intentions, supporting project delivery.
  • Manage deliverables independently against shifting priorities, responding to internal and external demands.
  • Undertake discovery work with stakeholders to identify gaps and challenges with current service delivery.
  • Contribute to customer insights reports, journey maps, and solution design deliverables.
  • Develop strategies for continuous improvement of business analysis work.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and risk/issues management.
  • Lead articulation of business requirements and facilitate solutions.
  • Contribute to project plans to achieve business initiatives and strategic goals.
  • Provide plain language advice on technical issues to non-technical audiences.
 
Core Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience.
  • Strong business analysis skills, customer experience, and human-centered design thinking.
  • Consulting and negotiating skills with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Atlassian toolset (JIRA, Confluence, Portfolio).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Problem-solving abilities, negotiation skills, and business acumen.
  • Understanding of Testing Methodology (Waterfall, Agile).
  • Ability to achieve successful outcomes through collaboration.
  • Quick understanding of project environments and issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within tight project timeframes.
