Role Overview:
The Assistant Accountant will play a critical role in our finance team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute comprehensive bookkeeping tasks including invoicing, managing purchase orders, reconciling supplier statements, and handling bank reconciliations.
  • Lead the month-end accounting process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including the coordination of payment runs and managing communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the preparation of statutory filings, such as business activity statements and payroll tax returns.
  • Work closely with external accountants and auditors to facilitate the preparation of financial statements and tax returns, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
About You:
  • You are currently pursuing or have partially completed your CA or CPA.
  • Proficiency in financial software, particularly Xero, is essential.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Your communication skills are exceptional, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • You are adept at managing multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
