A new opportunity has arisen for a senior projects lawyer to join the infrastructure team of a global organisation in Sydney.  The role will be a key part of the legal team,  supporting the commercial team across large complex projects with a focus on the renewable energy sector. 
 
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Providing  leadership on legal and commercial issues relating to proposed projects.
• Assisting with structuring, preparing, negotiating, and concluding transactions for projects
• Supporting  the business in construction dispute resolution.
• Responsibility for managing risk for projects in delivery
• Advising the business on compliance and risk management

 
 Key Requirements:
 

• Ideally 8+ years gained from a leading private practice firm or in-house organisation
• Experience reviewing and negotiating engineering and construction contracts
• Previous  exposure to construction litigation ideally across large projects 
• Excellent negotiation and advisory skills
• Proven ability to manage competing deadlines with excellent problem solving skills
