Standalone Senior Payroll Officer – Temporary (with view to permanent) - ASAP START

We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to manage a standalone payroll function within a busy industry setting. This role is office-based full time South West NSW.

Key Details
- Payroll size: approx. 170-200 weekly employees (full-time and casual)
- Payroll system: Employment Hero (manual timesheets)
- Reporting line: Finance

Responsibilities
- End-to-end weekly payroll processing including superannuation, PAYG, tax and compliance returns
- Manage leave, deductions, and payroll adjustments
- Reconcile payroll with general ledger and bank accounts
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and maintain data integrity
- Communicate effectively with a diverse workforce
- Support process improvements within Employment Hero and assist finance tasks as needed

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in end-to-end payroll (standalone capacity preferred)
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and legislation
- Experience with Employment Hero, ELMO or KeyPay advantageous
- Diploma in Payroll or related field desirable
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
