The business is an Australian Owned success story manufacturing a range of steel automotive products. With 40 on site the business supples its products for hire via the largest hire businesses in Australia. The business is looking for a value add production manager to take their operation to the next level.
Description
Reporting into the General Manager you will lead and manage a team of 35 via your team of supervisors, to maximize efficiencies in productivity levels while maintaining product integrity and quality. Managing production operations to scale production you will:
Profile
You are a proven Manufacturing or Production Manager with your experience gained from within a fabrication, automotive or assembly environment. You will have grown from the shop floor up and be able to evidence having led a fast paced manufacturing and assembly operations. You will have managed at least 20 staff in operations via a supervisory team and have implemented CI And waste reduction programs and have a good understanding of single piece flow and scalability. You will hold particular expertise with accurate materials and production planning.

- Manage the 3 production and one assembly unit on site consisting of 4 supervisors and 35-40 operators
- Manage all work flow scheduling and labour allocation
- In conjunction with the site engineer ensure maximum equipment uptime and efficiency
- Implement shop floor continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives to reduce waste and increase throughput
