Principle/Lead Tester

Excellent opportunity to join this leading company in the energy sector within a senior capacity.

The role:

Overall project responsibility for the end-to-end software testing, including strategic direction, governance, User Acceptance Testing, quality assurance, practices and standards. 
Ensures that our systems are tested in compliance with the rules and regulations across the industry.
Manages and supports Penetration testing, test data setup 
Establishes and maintains project estimates and schedules for testing activities. 
Providing timely, detailed and effective test artefacts for the Project such as Test Plan and Test Summary
Provides direction to other testers on the project 
Assists with allocation of jiras and sprints, defect triages 
Ensuring effectiveness of test strategies and plans for long term strategic insights and short term quality goals 

You:

A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience.
Professional level certification (ISTQB or similar)
Expertise with automation tools such as Gherkin / Cucumber / Selenium / QTP / Soap UI / LoadRunner / JMeter or similar.
Proven experience in leading IT projects, developing test strategies and management of estimates / scheduling.
An in depth working knowledge of the principles and practices associated with testing of information technology projects.
Confidence in testing web based / client server
Competency in the use of test management tools such as Jira /Quality Centre / ALM / Service Now.
Advanced skills in SQL / Oracle.
Familiarity with system and technical requirements in a highly complex and regulated environment
Experience in working in Agile, DevOps, CI/CD framework
